Blog - Week Ending 11th September

As we come to the end of our first full week I am sure that many of the children will be equally tired and excited about what is to come. With safety remaining our priority today saw our first full outdoor Success Assembly and my thanks go to Prep 6 for giving a sterling demonstration of how to project their voice to be heard across a socially distanced playground.

Prep 5 today received their Bikeability certificates from their training on Monday which they thoroughly enjoyed, and proved with a little drizzle to be rather character building - “We have to go out in the rain?”. Nursery, Reception and the Pre Prep have enjoyed the return of Dance to the curriculum with our new Dance Teacher Miss April.

It has been an action packed week in Nursery and the children enjoyed wearing their listening ears as they ventured round school on a listening journey, there were even reports of someone singing Christmas songs! There were also songs aplenty as we welcomed back Mrs Bailey for hymn practice. Rather than a whole school event she is taking individual classes in rotation each week.

Please do remember to like our Facebook page to keep up to date, check out this week’s photos and remember that we have individual photos next Tuesday.
The start of the year is always a big thing and a challenge but it can be tackled step by step, in the words of St Augustine ...

“You aspire to great things? Begin with little ones.”
