This week has definitely been the busiest so far this term, starting off with Languages day. Amidst children learning about the Colliseum, Eiffel Tower, Mont St Michel and the storming of the Bastille, I found myself drawn in the direction of Nursery and Reception who were enjoying a French style breakfast – magnifique!
Tuesday we were joined by Father Michael who came in to bless the school and led prayers with each class. Father Michael has clearly become more of a celebrity since we have had virtual Mass as one child commented ‘ I saw you live on telly’!
We also this week took part in the national ‘big anti-bullying assembly 2020’ and teachers have been following this up in PSCHE and RE lessons over the course of the week. Today we have celebrated CAFOD family fast with the children having bread instead of their regular snack and, as we start to prepare for harvest next week (keep an eye out next Friday), think about those people who are less fortunate.
I wish you all a blessed and restful weekend.
Mr Hood, Head Master
