Welcome to Joe's Club.
Joe’s Club is the Before and After School Childcare Facility for children at St Joseph's Preparatory School and is provided for children whose parents need to drop them at School before 8.30am and collect them later than 3.25pm. It is open to all pupils at St Joseph's Preparatory School and provision will be made for children with special needs.
Joe’s Club runs from 7.45am to 8.15am every school day morning with breakfast provided and from 3.25pm to 5.50pm every school day afternoon. Joe’s Club is located either in the School Hall or in designated classrooms. Nursery and Pre-Prep children are separated from the older Prep children for at least the first hour to ensure that their individual needs are met.
Children are able to take part in a wide variety of play activities and refreshments are provided. Opportunities are provided for children to do their homework at the Club.
Our Aims
Our aims are to provide a child-centred children's club which embraces play worker values in a safe environment, where each child will pursue recreational, leisure and educational activities and which enables parents to pursue careers.
Our Objectives
- To maintain a child:staff ratio of 1:8 for all children.
- To make welfare of the child paramount.
- To ensure all staff are aware of, and adhere to, the club's policies and play worker values.
- To create a stimulating environment with well planned activities, which cater for a wide range of interests and ability levels. Activities need to promote development of the child and need to be a source of fun.
- To meet all statutory requirements with regards to children, staffing, premises, record keeping, equipment and health and safety.
