End of School Year

We had a busy final week with lots of activities going on.

It was good to welcome so many parents to our Pre Prep prize giving on Monday.

On Tuesday and Wednesday we hosted Language mornings and invited the Year 5 classes from Oakhill and Weston Coyney Junior school to join us.  Both mornings were a great success and we enjoyed sharing some French, Latin and Italian as well as a French breakfast with our friends.

We also enjoyed our Leavers' Mass at St Teresa's Church led by Father Rob.  All our Prep 6 children received a Rosary which Father blessed.

The Nursery led a wonderful assembly on the theme of Noah's Ark on Thursday.  This was followed by our Nursery and Reception Prize Giving.  Parents took this opportunity to say goodbye to Mrs Gibbs.

On Friday, Prep 6 led their Leavers' Assembly where they remembered some of their best experiences at St Joseph's Prep.

The staff v P6 Rounders was a storming success - for the staff!  Mr Dawes proved to be a very good player, Mr Ferris did some nifty moves including "moon walking" half way round, and I hit one over the fence but it only counted as half a rounder!

We waved good bye to Prep 6 as the limos arrived and they departed.  Staff then had the opportunity to say thank you and good bye to Mrs Gibbs who has been at the school for twelve years.

Unfortunately, we no longer have a crossing patrol for September as the person withdrew before they started.  Is there anyone out there interested? If so, please contact 01782 236464.

I hope that everyone has a good Summer break and that the sun shines - given that it has started to rain today!!  The Holiday Club is running at the school on a daily basis.

A reminder that school opens for pupils on Wednesday 8th September.
