Last week was very busy. We were fortunate to have dry weather for both Sports Days; the rain just about stayed away on Monday for the Prep Sports, whilst we had a hot sunny afternoon on Wednesday. Both events were well organised by Mr Ferris and a real sense of fun and enjoyment was apparent on both days. Pre Prep parents were the most adventurous and we had a very fast Dad's race and Mum's race. Congratulations to Harrison's and Ashton's Dad and Issy's Mum who were parent winners.
The E-safety talks were very informative but sadly the evening presentation was not well attended.
The sponsored skip went very well proving that all our practising had been worthwhile. I am not yet certain how much money we have raised for the British Heart Foundation.
The Family Fun Afternoon was very well supported; the weather was lovely and the atmosphere was one of fun and enjoyment. Everyone involved worked very hard - a big Thank You!! Mr Dawes was a very good sport and got drenched several times in "Drench the Teacher".
This week, commencing 21st June, it is Design Technology week. As part of the week we have our Lego workshop which proved very popular last year and I know a lot of the children are looking forward to taking part again.
On Tuesday I am taking the Eco Warriors to an Eco event at the Kings Hall. On Thursday Mr Hood is taking Prep 5 to a Science workshop at St Joseph's College.
We are heading towards the Prep Prize Evening and Summer Concert on Friday 2nd July at The Stoke REP commencing at 7.00pm. We are having our dress rehearsal this Friday and trusting that all will come together well.
